FUPAC was founded in order to help ameliorate the living conditions specifically of Dominican nationals in the Dominican Republic and Dominican Americans living in the United States. Here are some of the goals that we see as essential in accomplishing the greater good that the Foundation stands for:

- To provide educational opportunities, food, shelter, and medical services that can contribute to the strengthening of families.

- To develop partnerships with academic, community, government, business, social services, health, and religious groups

- To support projects that involve coalition building, public education and advocacy to effect social change and improve opportunities.

In addition to providing those less fortunate with immediate needs, FUPAC's interest is to support projects to strengthen families and provide opportunities for youth to achieve their full potential. This may include either direct service or policy programs focused on child care, single parenthood, the elderly, and family planning as well as others. Today, more than ever before, education touches the lives of people of all ages, students at all levels, newcomers learning a second language and a new culture, adults seeking retraining to handle new job responsibilities. By serving as partners with those families in helping them to increase their levels of literacy and basic education, FUPAC has accepted the challenge of engaging in the struggle with the societal conditions that create poverty and hunger. FUPAC looks forward to opportunities to work with existing educational institutions to form creative, new programs in order to meet these challenges. To date, the Foundation for Community Assistance is providing food, shelter and medicine on a monthly basis to over 350 families, but we are raising our standards. Our goal is to have our services benefit 500+ families!
